Two Italian engineers saw the need for more ventilator valves as COVID-19 spread in Italy, so they quickly designed and 3D printed a solution for hospitals. Their story reveals what's possible with additive manufacturing. While 90 percent of data is created and processed in the data center now, by 2025 that number will shrink to 25 percent. That's because the number of use cases for the edge and IoT is currently at 107 and will likely keep climbing.
