SDN AND BLOGGING

Watt What software design network (SDN) intigration can do for bloggers.
No! Strike that!
What can bloggers accomplish having hardware networked with SDN?
A better start by posing a question than implication of some magic wand that can do the work for humans in a world of advancing technology and fast changes.
A BLOGGER IS NOT A CHATTTERBOT AND SPELL CHECKERS ARE NOT USUALLY HUMANS.
A chatter robot, chatterbot, chatbot, or chat bot is a computer program designed to simulate an intelligent conversation with one or more human users via auditory or textual methods, primarily for engaging in small talk. The primary aim of such simulation has been to fool the user into thinking that the program's output has been produced by a human. See the Turing test. Programs playing this role are sometimes referred to as Artificial Conversational Entities, talk bots or chatterboxes. In addition, however, chatterbots are often integrated into dialog systems for various practical purposes such as offline help, personalised service, or information acquisition. Some chatterbots use sophisticated natural language processing systems, but many simply scan for keywords within the input and pull a reply with the most matching keywords, or the most similar wording pattern, from a textual database.

Competition Fuels Innovation, Better Customer Choice and Value

A total of 13 vendors made it into the 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for WAN Optimization, with Riverbed Technology racking up its seventh consecutive year in the leader’s quadrant, and Cisco once again ranked as the only challenger. However, this year marks a major change in the market: Silver Peak vaulted from the crowded ranks […]

SDN, Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Software-Defined Everything

As someone who actually practiced atomic bomb drills at public school — “bend over, put your head between your knees and kiss your @$$ goodbye” — ‘Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb‘ was not only a rollicking good black comedy, but a very alarming and cautionary tale. I’m […]

Six Benefits of Software Defined Networking

6 Benefits to Software Defined NetworkingThere has been lots of talk about how software-defined networking (SDN) will change the face of networking, including reasons for adoption and the unique opportunity made available for the channel to expand its business and improve customer retention.
In light of those discussions, I’ve pulled together a list of six benefits for adopting software-defined networking. In a future post, I’ll look at reasons why one would not adopt SDN.

Six Benefits of Software-Defined Networking

1.Operational Savings: SDNs lower operating expenses. Network services can be packaged for application owners, freeing up the networking team.
2. Flexibility: SDNs create flexibility in how the network can be used and operated. Resellers can write their own network services using standard development tools.
3. Improved Uptime: By eliminating manual intervention, SDNs enable resellers to reduce configuration and deployment errors that can impact the network.
4. Better Management: Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can use a single viewpoint and toolset to manage virtual networking, computing and storage resources.
5. Planning: Better visibility into network, computing, and storage resources means resellers can also plan IT strategies more effectively for their customers.
6. Infrastructure Savings: Separating route/switching intelligence from packet forwarding reduces hardware prices as routers and switches must compete on price-performance features
